JUNE Newsletter 2026

Dear Purdy Families,
As we approach the final stretch of the school year, I wanted to remind everyone of the importance of finishing strong. Our students have demonstrated remarkable resilience and determination, and now is the time to give it our all. Let's celebrate the progress they've made and the bright future ahead.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you. Our staff is deeply appreciative of the support and partnership we've received from families. Your involvement and collaboration have truly made a difference. Thank you also for the wonderful goodies during Teacher Appreciation Week, they were very much appreciated!
This year has been exceptional. Our students have grown academically and socially, and the energy and commitment of the Purdy community has been truly remarkable. I am excited to continue serving this community and building on the strong foundation we've established together.
This month brings exciting end-of-year events and celebrations. Please review the details included in this newsletter. We will send out emails over the summer with back-to-school information and supply lists.
Respectfully,Ty Robuck – Principal
Mary Caseley – Deputy Principal

| THANK YOU PARENTS! | |||
|
A big thank you to our Purdy Parents for keeping us informed on your students returning to Purdy status for this next school year. If you know your family's plans may change over the summer and you may be moving before the start of the next school year, please let us know as soon as possible. You can email the office at PES-Office@psd401.net or call at 253.530.4600. Our office will be closed from July 1st - August 21st. and reopening on August 24th from 8:00 - 3:00.
YEAR ROUND UPDATES FOR STUDENTS Also, If you have not taken the time this year to log into your Parent Portal PowerSchool account to update your contact information, we encourage you to do that before the end of the school year. When you log in, look for the “Year Round Update” function. We have seen an increase in outdated email addresses listed for our families, which makes it difficult to make contact in an emergency or with important school news. It’s also a great time to add your student’s new emergency contacts, or to remove old contacts that you no longer want listed for your student. Please take a few minutes to complete the Year Round Update process | |||

Chromebooks - Next week, on your child's library day, each student will be returning the Chromebook checked out to them. As the kids would ask, yes, this is a have to, not a suggestion. Please pay for the damage before the end of the school year.Here are the costs for damage or loss for a Chromebook, next year the prices will be different:
1. Do we need to buy a case? No, case will be provided, and we expect that case to be used. 2. Stickers? No! Please no stickers on the Neo or the case. The adhesive is corrosive to the Neos and reduces the value of the device when it is resold. 3. Communicate: Report damage, loss, or concerns promptly. 4: Sign & return: PSD's Acceptable Use Policy and/or device agreement will be sent out near the beginning of school. Please keep Parent Square updated with your contact information.

As we begin planning for the upcoming school year, healthcare plans for students with health conditions have been sent home. Please review, complete, and return all required forms as soon as possible.
- For students with life-threatening health conditions, all healthcare plans must be completed, signed, and on file before the student may begin school. We will also need updated provider orders and new, unexpired medications (including EpiPens, inhalers, and other prescribed emergency medications) prior to the start of the school year.
- Please remember to pick up any medications currently stored in the health room before the end of the school year. EpiPens and inhalers should be picked up on the last day of school. Any medications not picked up by the designated deadline will be disposed of according to district policy.
Thank you for your partnership in keeping our students healthy, safe, and ready to learn!
