Welcome Back, Panthers!
Dear Purdy Families,
We hope you and your family have had a wonderful summer filled with opportunities to relax, recharge, and create lasting memories. While summer always seems to fly by, our staff has been busy preparing for another incredible school year, and we are excited to welcome our Panthers back!
As we begin a new year together, our focus is on creating a school where every child feels welcomed, valued, challenged, and inspired to learn. At Purdy, we believe that a strong start sets the foundation for a successful year, and we look forward to partnering with you to make this our best year yet.
Our hope is that every student who walks through our doors knows they belong, feels safe to take risks, and is encouraged to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. We know that the strongest schools are built through meaningful partnerships between families and educators, and we are grateful for the trust you place in us each day.
As we prepare for the first day of school, please take note of a few important upcoming dates:
- Sunday, August 23: Purdy Clean-Up Day | 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
- Thursday, August 27: Open House | 4:30–5:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, September 2: First Day of School for Grades 1–5
- Tuesday, September 8: First Day of Kindergarten
- Monday, September 14: First Day of Preschool
- Thursday, September 17: First Day of Transitional Kindergarten
Additional information regarding classroom placements, school procedures, transportation, and other back-to-school details will be shared in the coming weeks.
On behalf of our entire staff, thank you for being an important part of the Purdy community. We are honored to partner with you and look forward to a year filled with learning, laughter, and growth. Together, we will continue to build a school where every child is encouraged to dream big, work hard, and believe in themselves.

Peninsula School District will provide all necessary school supplies for students. Please see the list of provided supplies at the link below.
Families are only asked to provide a backpack, lunch box and headphones. Any extra or preferred supplies are welcome, but entirely optional.
